Wooden Frame Houses
What is the frame house building technology about? On the finished foundation the wooden frame of the house is assembled setting vertical, horizontal, and diagonal beams of different sections, depending on the size of the structure and the supposed load capacity. Then, the frame made of OSB plates of 10-12 mm is created as it works as the stiffener. Walls are filled with 100-150 mm heating material, mineral or basalt wool, which serves both as a heater and as a soundproof material. The next step is to line the water-proof tape which is vapour-isolating of internal and external walls. Eventually, the wall lining of different materials is assembled: wooden lining or wood imitation of log, giving the complete look of the wooden house. If you select the wooden material (imitation of log, lining, block-house), in this case, having lined the walls, it is necessary to polish the material and setting 3 layers of antiseptic agent (one layer of colourless protective antiseptic, 2 others in color). After the covering of the roof, you can start other types of work: installation of windows and doors, mouldings, flooring, etc.
The advantages of this type of building include the following:
- High speed of building
- High seismic resistance of building (about 9 points)
- Relatively cheap building
- Good heating maintenance (frame houses are considered the warmest)
- Possibility to move in right after assembly.
